Accomplishments
Accomplishments
Just Kids is proud to have accomplished so much in our 35 year history! Our programs have been recognized at the state and national level; recent accomplishments include:
NAC Accreditation
Our Just Kids South and Just Kids @ XPAC locations have achieved national accreditation through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC).
To achieve NAC accreditation, these sites went through a comprehensive internal and external review process to verify compliance with NAC standards. These standards required us to examine our classroom environments, teacher-child interactions, curriculum, administration, parent relationships and community involvement. In fact, the NAC commission review made particular note of our strengths in curriculum implementation and positive teacher-child interactions.
Just Kids is committed to quality and excellence in our programs. NAC accreditation is one more step in demonstrating our commitment to providing exceptional early childhood services.
United Way Partnership
Just Kids is proud to be a United Way partner organization. The United Way of the Quad Cities is committed to investing in local programs, partnerships
and initiatives producing measurable results. They currently invest in 93 programs at 48 agencies.
The United Way funds programs through agencies that are 501 (c)(3) non-profits. These agencies must apply for United Way funding through the Community Investment Process - a three-tiered comprehensive volunteer review. Specifically, the United Way supports the sliding fee tuition scale here at Just Kids.

DCFS Licensed Organization
A representative from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services inspects our facility to make sure we maintain licensing standards. Our program is monitored for staffing, group size, enrollment, guidance, discipline, health, nutrition and environment safety by State inspectors. Licenses are posted at each Just Kids site.
Quality Rating Scale
The Quality Rating System (QRS) is a voluntary system that offers progressive levels which providers can achieve depending on the type of care they provide. Specific quality criteria must be met to achieve a level and Just Kids is proud to have achieved a QRS Star Level of 3 in 2008. Because of this accomplishment, Just Kids has been recognized by the State of Illinois for our consistent committment to quality.
ROE Partnerships
Just Kids partners with the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education and the Early Childhood Coalition of the Illinois Quad Cities to provide enhanced programming for children 2-5 based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards.
